Laura Fantoni

I’m a Master student in Classics and Ancient History at Sapienza University in Rome. Since my Undergraduate degree I have been working with the Prof. Daniele Bianconi on the study of Italian-greek manuscripts from Calabria during the Norman dominion, in particular those from Rossano considered as written in the so called “stile rossanese”. My thesis was concerned with the production of Bartolomeo, a copyist who worked in the Abbey of Rossano between XI and XII century. My project for the Master thesis is to examine in depth his production in order to give a more complete vision of the written culture of this period. I’m interested also in Latin Paleography, Papirology and Byzantine Philology
